Some more updates from Nepal...Our chief medical officer is there with his para vet team....Theyve been there for bout 6 days now and probably home sick too. Some of the animals are much better but there are those who are still ill and weak.... The dark brown concoction that you see in the bowl is water and jaggery. Jaggery is a concentrated product of date, cane juice, or palm sap. Just like we have ORS for us....this is kinda the same thing for them. Thank you for your constant support, it is because of that that the team is still going strong in Nepal. Medicines have reached and simple but decent living arrangements have been made for them. There are a few locals who are supportive and it gives me hope when I see them co operate. We are now planning our awareness program for Nepal. It is an uphill task and one that is not going to be easy. 5 more years before the next slaughter fest but almost everyday there are animals slaughtered in the name of God. Everyday that is delayed means another life lost. It pains me really. We went into the unknown and had a small victory for the few that we saved. From birth to death weve been trained to fear everything and I see hurdles forming already, but we have got to move forward...good or bad.
