Some nights Antiques Road Show is worthwhile. At Beverley - TopicsExpress

Some nights Antiques Road Show is worthwhile. At Beverley Minster, in the east Riding of Yorkshire, an "ordinary bloke" brought in a mediaeval ring which his father apparently turned up with his plow. One of those objects that just dazzle you. A ring, maybe 600 years old, made of two pieces of pure gold, intertwined [thus, said the analyst, a "love ring". One strip of gold plain and the other marked in a checkerboard pattern.].and in the center, a very dark blue sapphire., held by four gold prongs.
