Some of my English friends simply don´t like Sting... They think he´s too mainstream-ish.... O q posso fazer? What else could I do but to contribute to this general notion? Yet praising it... Yeah, I got a beautiful story about Sting and mainstream. I was at MELK Benedictine Monastery by the Danube in Austria once. It was St Peter´s Day. There was a memorable celebration with classic music, Bach and all that. Then, all of a sudden, the choir started singing this Sting´s song A cappella. It was an unexpected insertion. A surprise to us all. I´ll never forget it. That´s why I think that music, even being Pop, is always powerful. It can make all the world turn round. It can make sense when you least expect it. I don´t remember which Bach song it was. But I remember Sting´s Let your soul be your Pilot, no matter how cheesy you think it may sound. It was my song that day. And I´ll remember it ALWAYS.
