Some of my random observations about Sweden : 1. Their fashion sense seems to be jeans with crazy colored sneakers. 2. Their design sensibilities seem to be either straight lines or perfect circles. Almost no curves. And very neutral Colors. 3. Perhaps number 2 has influenced number 1 (quiet shoe rebellion). 4. Almost everyone speaks English and are happy to speak it to me. 5. Taxi rides are extremely outrageous ! So expensive compared to NYC it is mind blowing. 6. Sweden really looks forward to the weekends. Everybody seemed so orderly and quiet -- until Friday night ! 7. Swedish people in general are tall. Very tall.
