Some of the 100 Candles gang hit the water for the 1km and 2km Cook Community Classic in Cronulla this morning. Without a wave in sight and with the mercury nudging mid 30s, it was a fantastic day for a swim. Ocean swimming isnt an easy gig at times and many of the group powerfully overcame genuine hesitation to triumph over the big blue. This time last year a few of them couldnt swim 50m in a pool without coughing up a lung. Congratulations team. A 750m swim at Kurnell in a few weeks awaits. Bring it on! And after that... did somebody say long course? :)
