Some of the activities planned for this year’s WALK Hi, all! We only have 30 more days until the WALK and we hope that you’re getting ready for the 2013 Chicago HA WALK. We’re looking forward to a great day. Some of the activities planned for this year’s WALK include some pre-WALK refreshments, balloon twister, face painters, a DJ, hair wraps, magicians, Raffle prizes, post-WALK refreshments and Tommy Hawk will be making a special appearance thanks to the Groll Family. As in the past, we’re inviting families to make posters telling their story. The posters will be displayed on Ambassador Avenue – the section of the WALK route dedicated to those living with the challenges of hydrocephalus. If you’re planning to put together a poster telling your family’s story please use standard poster board (approximately 28” x 22”.) Families with poster for Ambassador Avenue must be at the WALK by 9:00am the day of the event so volunteers can mount them and get them out on the route.
