Some of the most memorable times I had with my children were here in these apartments 1998-2000... We went to church and worshiped every day, we didnt have money but we had each other. I put my two oldest on the bus every morning and walked my youngest son to pre-school afterwards. My daughter made straight As in fourth grade and got awarded, I got my Med Aide license and bought my own car cash from the Cheverolet house. I washed our clothes out by hand and put them on the clothes line and my children loved helping. We were dirt poor but we were together! I love my children... public assistance served us in a real time of need. After this I worked hard to not ever use public assistance unless I just had no other choice. There are mothers and dads out there that could use it just like I did in my time of need. I have worked very hard all my life. Public assistance is a last resort for me because I believe I am not a quitter and I am spiritually not giving up no matter what any entity, man, woman or child ever says to me! So I am working to keep my spirit up and regain my dignity even if I have to do it in public! I give praise to all the single parents out there trying to make it in a world that demands two incomes. Trust in God he will never lead you wrong but if you choose to climb higher ... success is what you make it!
