Some of the pictures posted dont have a good comparison to show true size.we took some today that shows true perspective. Tiny tiny fighters, I am so proud of them. Maddie had a good day, still trying to remember that it is her job to breathe but she will get there.She has figured out how to create suction in her mouth to get her tube out, (it looks like she is sucking on a straw) she can work it out from down in her tummy.The nurse put it back in and right away she started working it out again. And out it came! Poor Maddie had to have it taped on. We hate seeing any extra tape on them because it tears their fragile little skin. And they have enough things taped on already(little scabs here, bruise there) it is just sad to see. And this silly girl brought this on herself! We keep warning Jen of things to come. Emmie is still struggling, when she stops breathing at times it takes a lot to stimulate her. She is just too tired and relaxed. They were hesitant to let Jen hold her today,but she did. It ended up being for a couple hours and she did great. Her evening settled down and we are hoping for a great night. Tomorrow will see them turning 3 weeks old! These girls are champs. They say behind every dark cloud is a silver lining... well I can vouch for that... you ought to see all the silver lining my hair! Thanks once again for your support,prayers and love.
