Some of the questions that graduate schools ask are getting a bit - TopicsExpress

Some of the questions that graduate schools ask are getting a bit ridiculous. Here are a few... Im sure Ill add more later As time goes on. One school asked me to upload my resume. Then they asked me to list my job history via their online app.... why do you need both!? Another school did the same thing, except with my courses and my transcripts... honestly, I think they just want to see how many hoops Ill jump through. One school asked me to write two different essays but each asked the same questions... they even put in the fine print that they should be different.... One school asked for my mailing address, and the dates that Id be living there... I HAD to put down an ending date otherwise it would give me an error... Well, mom, dad... were moving out in six months! Sorry, had no choice, the college made me... That same school asked me to list the last couple of places that I have lived... really?! Are you planning on stalking me?! Why do you need to know where Ive lived in the past!? Another school asked me to list every single math and physics course Ive taken, AND to list my grade, credit hours and even the text book used for the course. I had to fill out two of these sheets because they didnt leave me enough spaces! What? I like science ok? Several colleges have asked me to fill out, emergency contact information... honestly? Do you think Im going to die in the middle of filling this thing out? Because if I do itll probably be from old age! They even ask about my family... how much does my family make? Did your mother go to college? Did she have: Some college, Associates, Bachelor... ? Then they ask the same about my father. One school asked me to write an essay. Ok. Typed it up. Saved as pdf. Ready to upload (just like Ive done with every other university). Nope! Sorry, you must do it in Microsoft wordpad....WordPad!? What is WordPad!?
