Some of you know, I left Hawaii decades ago, and spent a large chunk of my time with the Baco/Standard crew of Wisconsin, the Rust Belt and Arizona, but the whole time, my one and truly closest friend was Jason Ryan, who now as a mainstream film maker, doesnt have as much time for filming BMX but still rides like a mofo. Hes working with another longtime friend, who should be dear to all of our hearts, in a silly way for some, and a serious way for others, but there just the same and finally, after I think ten years or more of meaning to do it, making a documentary on the one and only Jose Yanez. If we want to talk old school, and what put the exclamation point on it, Jose was one of the pivotal factors.
