Some of you know me by the alias The Polish Samurai. Ive been using that alias since the early 1990s and have had the e-mail account polishsamurai@hotmail since December of 1998. Others know me only by my other alias the bRAiNSaW, especially if youre a friend of mine from the paintball community. Ive used the alias the bRAiNSaW since sometime in late 1999 when I began writing articles for the now defunct website A-180 and needed a nom de plume to write under. Those of you who were fans of Christian industrial music in the early 1990s might remember the band Chatterbox (cbx) and their debut album Despite. I discovered the name brainsaw contained within their liner notes and was struck by it. When I needed a nom de plume in the late 1990s that name resurfaced from the depths of my psyche and I went with it. To me it symbolized what I was trying to do with my writing. I wanted to metaphorically cut into the way many Christians thought, breaking their rigid world views, and make them think about things in a different-yet-still Christian minded way. bRAiNSaW therefore was a perfect name for me. That name has stuck with me throughout the years and is as much a part of who I am as my original alias The Polish Samurai. Last week I discovered a new item on the internet that has also taken on the name Brainsaw. For those of you zombie fans out there I urge you to check this item out, as well as the many other awesome items contained within.
