Some of you know that I teach quite a few yoga classes every week. Things have gotten a little out of hand and when I added up the hours that I teach, not including the classes that arise for teacher trainings, seminars and the like, it is over 40 hours a week. That does not include travel time. I need to seriously contemplate my present schedule. It is not even updated on my website yet. What does a day in my week look like? Well, yesterday was a 9 hour day. Today was a 10 hour day of classes. Here is the way my today went. Arise at 4am, shower, shave, dress, and drive downtown to Phoenix for Mysore from 5am – 7:30am. Drive to Circle K for a coffee to go and then onto the 10 West to Ignite Yoga to teach Ashtanga from 8:15am – 9:45am and then a Vinyasa class from 9:45am – 11am. Chat with students and Eva for a few minutes, and then the long drive around the 101 from Buckeye back to Scottsdale. I change shirts and eat a banana on the way. Forty-five minutes later I was back in Scottsdale. Seniors chair Yoga class from 1pm – 1:45pm and then a quick jaunt to Dave’s Ashtanga yoga to teach a Yoga Lab class from 2pm – 3:45pm. I zipped home just in time to teach my Yoga room classes from 4:30pm – 6:45pm. Students left a little before 7pm. I greeted family in the kitchen and steamed some vegetables, made some ramen, and nuked some soy bacon. That was dinner. After I finish writing this, I will be heading up for a bath and then some relaxation and conversation with my wife before drifting off to sleep between 9pm and 10pm. I will arise tomorrow at 4am to do it all over again. Tomorrow is only a 7 ½ hour day…. namaste ☮ ॐ _/\_
