Some of you may know, but most do not, that this past week has been a tough one in the Maguire house...Allen is in ICU since Tuesday night. He had been down with a fever for a couple of days (no other symptoms), until Tuesday night when he simply bottomed out. I managed to get him to hospital to find he is VERY sick. His BP tanked and temperature spiked. After many tests, scans, X-rays, cultures, etc. we have an answer...sort of. He has a strep bacteria infection in his blood. No clue how it got there, still a mystery. Tons of antibiotics going in since he arrived, and expected to continue for the foreseeable future. More tests scheduled, since his fever keeps creeping back up. He is not nearly as sick as the day we arrived here, but still very ill. He is allowed normal diet now, which is great when he has an appetite, but its a roller coaster with his temp and BP. Ill try to keep updates when we get news, but Im mostly spending every waking moment at his side. Prayers are gladly accepted! Please dont message him, though, as he is using all of his energy to fight this. Again, I will try to update his status as we go. On a positive note, my finals were this week...I made the biology test (93%), and my speech teacher did not require me to actually give my speech and graded me on my work, alone, which gave me a high A. Glad its over so I can focus all of my energy on the love of my life...
