Some of you may not know this so I hope to enlighten you. Muslim Terrorist in America Sixty percent of people arrested for Islamic terrorist activities between Jan. 2009 and April 2011 were American citizens, according to a new report from Rice Universitys Baker Institute of Public Policy. The study of 104 people who were arrested included U.S. and non-U.S. citizens living in America or abroad. Of the 104 arrested for Islamic extremist activities between Jan. 2009 and April 2011, half were born in the U.S., 22 percent were naturalized citizens and 7 percent had dual citizenship. Of the 104, 5 percent entered the U.S. on a visa. Sixty-three percent of converts had prior felony criminal records. Of the 14 American converts with a prior felony criminal record, at least 55 percent had converted to Islam in prison. Ninety-two percent were Black males. Sixty-four were 30 years old or younger. Sixty-six percent had traveled or were in the process of traveling to the Middle East, Somalia, South Asia or the Balkans. Of the 104, 70 percent had an association or were attempting an association with an internationally recognized terrorist organization; al-Qaida and its associated branches were cited most. Of the 29 persons with no known association to a group, 11 had been active on terrorist-related chat rooms and websites. Overall, 38 percent had been involved in this Internet activity. Information on birthplaces and conversion to Islam was available on 77 of the people arrested. The data revealed that 60 percent of the group was born outside of the U.S. Of the 31 U.S. born, persons where religion of origin could be determined, 14 were born into Muslim families and 17 were converted to Islam. Some of your good American citizens: Faisal Shahzad, the accused perpetrator of the recent failed Times Square car bombing. David Headley, a Chicago man who pleaded guilty to charges that included helping a Pakistan based terror group gather intelligence for November 2008 terror attacks against commercial targets in Bombay. Two American women, known as “Jihad Jane” and “Jihad Jamie,” who are facing charges in Philadelphia for their roles in an alleged Internet-based conspiracy to attack a Swedish artist who drew a cartoon lampooning the Prophet Muhammad. Also on the list are Zarein Ahmedzay and Adis Medunjanin, naturalized Americans born in Afghanistan and Bosnia, respectively, who allegedly conspired with Najibullah Zazi, an Afghan-born permanent resident of the U.S. in a plot to bomb the New York City subway system last September. Zazi, the alleged mastermind, is not listed as one of the 25 American citizens arrested for terrorism in the last 18 months. (Zazi and Ahmedzay have pleaded guilty in the subway bombing plot; charges against Medunjanin are still pending). As we look to the coming dawn it is well advised to be ever alert to our surroundings. Every household should have a firearm of a sort. Those of you that are not familiar with their use should get instructions on how to use one. There may come a time when a firearm is all that stands between you and someone that we kill you and all in your family. If you and you love ones are threaten, ‘Shoot first, and ask questions later.’ The ‘Assholes’ mentioned above and anyone associated with their kind are a threat to all of us. Too many have encroached into our society. I feel that thousands that are among us lay dormant waiting for a ‘Sign’ that will wreak havoc across this land. There was a time when all we needed was to ‘Walk tall and carry a Big stick’. This is not the case now. ‘Gunpowder and Lead’ is the standard of our present time. Carlton L. Sonnier
