Some of you may remember that myself, Jonny and Mike completed our longest day golf challenge (100 holes) at Cape Cornwall Golf Club last year raising £1200 sponsorship in aid of Sparks Childrens Charity, teeing off at 5.30am playing through to 7.30pm. This was no doubt one of the hardest things weve done both mentally and physically. I want to better that this year .. unfortunately Jonny (broken foot) and Mike are both unavailable to join so I have a couple of new recruits in Mark, Andy & George where well be aiming to better both 100 holes and the £1200, were gunning for £2000 + in sponsorship. This year well be raising funds in aid of SmithCorp Charitable Trust, currently supporting The Wave Project, RNLI, Childrens Hospice Southwest, KIVA loans along with our international projects assisting the builds of local Schools in Countries such as Ghana, Vietnam and Cambodia. With an extra player on board (extra sponsorship) I highly anticipate a much longer day and so the plan will be teeing off at 5am prior to sunrise, playing through until were done though probably around the 10pm mark so well after the sun sets, twilight balls will be used! The challenge will again take place at Cape Cornwall Golf Club on Monday 18th August. It probably sounds like a nice day out for the four of us, however taking into account the number of holes were aiming to play along with extra yardage for some guaranteed sliced drives, well be covering the best part of 30 miles each and so nearing 120 miles as a team. The equivalent of 5 marathons whilst being loaded up with clubs, hitting over 2000 balls, your support would be greatly appreciated, no matter how big or small it is.
