Some of you think we are merciless in stating what you may not - TopicsExpress

Some of you think we are merciless in stating what you may not agree with or understand. You think we ought to be more tactful or gentle. Listen, when we stand before God in the judgment, we are not going to be facing the Baby Jesus, but the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Estus Pirkle spoke at Myrtle, Mississippi, many years ago on the subject, If footmen tired you, what will horses do? [Jeremiah 12:5] If thou has run with footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of the Jordan? If you [we] cannot tolerate the truth now when the times are easy and Gods wrath against sin seems to be far off, how in the world do you reason that we are going to be when the time comes to stand before the Judge of all the Earth? It is far better to think on and resolve these things now when times are peaceful in preparation for what is coming than it is to wait for the final hour in hopeless fear of Gods wrath against sin and unrighteousness.
