Some of yous might know of my love of BOOKS! It started quite a few years ago when we had gone back to the Smethport area to show the kids home that we had grown up in. One of the neighbors was having a yard sale cause she was moving from her beautiful home. She kepted offering me theses bags of romance and historical romance books. Well I only read books to my kids. In the end I took them cause she really wanted someone to enjoy them! Rose Craft. Was always a very kind neighbor. So anyways that started my Love of reading, when my first Grandchild started kindergarten they had this great Reading program called 100 Hundred Book Challenge! My grandson always seeing me reading and grabbing one of my books to sit or lay with me and read lol! Well he started reading and receiving his medals for achieving the reading goals. When he started 1st. Grade the books wasnt always coming home and so we found out they needed help! Several parents started helping and my daughter and I well in the end I kept at it. And also gave out the Medals to the Students for every 100 books/ steps. So many AWESOME readers! Love hearing them say how much they have read or what books they like! (I wished when my kids had gone there they would have had this program. Anyways from that to ordering the rif books(reading is fundamental) which I also Loved the kids receiving 3 free Books a year! Till the grant was stopped. Anyways I spent quite a few Years passing on my Love of books and encouraging kids to Love them too! I really miss that! So anyways a few years ago I think 3 my oldest daughters one mother in law purchased me the very first amazon Kindle at a yard sale (thanks Sandy Kratzer Hood) well my book hording changed lol! I could carry lots of books at once great invention! So I have bagged up lots of books and yesterday Don and I took them to a drop books that will have a big sale (Book Nook Bonanza June 26-28 2015 @ the York Ice Arena. ! So that others can enjoy the books too! The small bags had about 90 books each I dont remember the rest. :)
