Some off court comments from the captains and coaches at the media briefing after the Mangaung Metro, Gauteng North A and Dr Kenneth Kaunda, Buffalo City matches today (14 August). Dr Kenneth Kaunda coach Dorette Badenhorst: There are still two very important games before we can be comfortable saying were in the final. We need to be more accurate with out passing. Our shooting struggled today. Were focusing on every game. Our goal is to first beat Mangaung and Western Province and then we will worry about the final. Gauteng North A coach Jenny Van Dyk: “It’s not a right to play in the final, its a privilege and I made sure the team knew that after our loss yesterday. We changed our combinations on our goalkeepers and defenders. Small changes. Gauteng North A’s Amanda Mynhardt: Were a happy team. Were peaking at the right time. Today we came out with all fire going. We lacked energy yesterday but today we just gave each other energy. Mangaung Metro’s Lauren Lee Christians: I wouldnt change the team but we are a young team and this tournament has given us so much exposure. Full Time Results (Section A, 14 August): Mangaung Metro (FS) 44-74 Gauteng North A (GP) Dr Kenneth Kaunda (NW) 53-25 Buffalo City (EC) #SPARNetballChamps #SPARNationalChamps #SPARNetball #NetballSA #NetballSouthAfrica
