Some people feel the need to give God a little bit more credibility. They feel that is stretching the imagination a little too far to say that God could have actually made all of creation in 6 days. They feel that they need to explain it away by some theory that is more plausible. It is just too hard to believe that He could have done it all in 6 days as we measure time. Scientists would say, but thats impossible. Exactly. They would say that the earth was formed over billions of years because you can just look at the geology of it and see great age. Helpful Christians give God a hand and say, Thats right ; perhaps the word day, treally means an age or era of millions of years. Well the real question that you need to address is this ; do YOU personally believe that God COULD HAVE done it in 6 literal days? When you look at earth, it may look old, but does that necessarily mean that it IS old? Suppose you went back to the beginningin a ttime machine and met Adam on his second day of life.... Do you think that he would look 2 days old... or more like 30 years old? He would look far older than he was. Do you suppose that God put Adam to sleep for a couple of million years so that he had time to form Eve from his rib? Bottom line is this ; I believe that God can do anything He wants to. We dont need to cover for Him, He can take care of Himself.
