Some people have asked what is really expected of a board member, chair person or a PTO volunteer. Executive Board Member: 2-3 meetings a month - One on the first Tuesday of every month, one executive board meeting (planned 3-10 days ahead of time) and one meeting with the principal (this varies on the position) At least 6 hours of work outside the meetings a month - This varies as it can be more depending on your position and on what events are going on that month for the PTO. This usually includes projects, paperwork, email or event chair meetings (based on your position). Volunteer at PTO sponsored events such as Movie Night, Grandparents Breakfast, Family Fun Night and others. This includes set up, tear down and helping at the event itself depending on volunteers. If you are interested in finding out more or would like to apply for an open position please contact the Linn Grove PTO at linngroveptoemail@gmail. Parents, Guardians and Teachers can apply! Applications due by September 10th, voting to fill the positions will take place September 17th 6:30-6:50 at Linn Grove in the Media Center. Open Positions are; President, Vice President and Co - Treasurer Chair of an event: Attend PTO meetings when you can, they are on the 1st Tuesday of every month. Important to attend the ones where we discuss your event Attend/lead additional meetings about your event Plan your event and recruit volunteers Make fliers, emails and notifications about your event Attend and keep the event running smoothly All of this is done with help from the PTO in anyway you need help. PTO Volunteer: Attend PTO meetings when you can, they are on the 1st Tuesday of every month Volunteer to help out at PTO Events when you can Chair Events you are interested in A PTO Volunteer can volunteer as much or as little time as they can fit into their schedule!
