Some people have been passing around a meme about Ayn Rand with some callous, misleading quote about native Americans and the taking of native lands. Its being supported by some people in the name of manifest destiny. All I can say is, I dont really care if you are a conservative, a progressive, a liberal or a religious extremist. Climate Change is coming, and it is going to Manifest Destiny all of us back into the Stone Age. Lets set aside all this political bickering and bullshit and just work together to create a better world that actually has a future. Lets stop trying to make the perfect plan and have it all figured out as to how it will work and look. We can work that stuff out as we go. But if we dont start working together and stop trying to be right and shoving stuff in each others faces, were all going down together. And it wont be a joyous passage. It will be kids dying, your kids, your grandkids, your brothers and sisters. It will be people dying of starvation, of exposure, in great fear and misery. The crazy thing is, if we just give each other a little respect, and actually listen to each other, and just make the tiniest effort to get a long, we could do incredible things as a people, even with all of our differences. We could just care about each other as human beings first, rather than fighting over the stupidest stuff. Lets do this!
