Some people just dont want the Lord guys, deal with it. We dont condone specifics, or shuffle around and twist doctrine to win souls. No, instead we stand firm on the truth of Christ and keep our employee handbook (the Bible) near us. Not compromising it, but instead cross referencing it. Stop trying to do, or say anything to save people, and start asking yourself do these people truly want to be saved? It isnt about the popularity in the culture, it is about the loyalty to the King. Instead of making a disciple who thinks that they are saved, make the kind of disciple that knows that they are saved. We dont mistreat people, but I guarantee that when you are more concerned about not mistreating the Lord, someone who probably doesnt really want Him to exist, will feel offended and mistreated; no matter how loving you truly were. Just be honest about the Lord, His characteristics, and His expectations. Unless of course you are ashamed of Him?
