Some people may think I am an enemy of the church by some of my rantings and postings..... NO.... I am actually a defender of the CHURCH the true bride of CHRIST...... the remnant of peeople who are HIS..... I am discouraged by the systematic religious organizations that have risen up in our time that have replaced the CHURCH with this idea that the Bride comes dressed in buildings, programs, budgets, committees, tradition, schedules, stages,policies, music and sermons.....and the battles that rage because of it....she is all strapped down with a bunch of stuff that covers her heart.... her beauty..... her passion for her groom..... because you see when the bride covers herself with all of these things.... and spends her time nurturing these things.......she becomes distracted.....tired....disheveled......her beauty is covered...... her heart is weary......her light grows dim...... because in a sense she has focused more on the things around her than her long awaited groom..... and well she becomes an ugly bride..... in fact it is hard to tell she is a bride at all...... The picture of a BRIDE is one of purity.... beauty.... attractive to all who look her way..... adorned with spotless white.....with a light that radiates from within because she is looking in longing and expectation for her groom..... her time is spent preparing herself for him...... paying careful attention to the details of the day.....a bride doent long for someone she does not know..... she knows him and yearns to know him more intimately.... to be his completely....following him in humble submission til death..... a commitment to surrender her identity to his....taking his name.....and the Bride longs for her friends to come to eat at the weddinng feast.... she wants all to know her groom..... she boasts of all of his qualties..... unashamedly standing with him...she trusts him completely..... dancing with him as if no one is looking...... and submitting everything that is hers to HIM...... she is free in HIS embrace.... she is held there..... she is alive there.... she is passionate there.... she is fully and completely loved there.... and in HIM is where she finds her true identity..... HIS..... Lets not blemish the BRIDE with some man made image that doesnt reflect her true and radiant beauty.... So that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing that she might be HOLY and without BLEMISH. Ephesians 5:27
