Some people say, If I only lived in the times of the Bible. But did you know that you actually are living in Biblical times? Though the pages have already been written, in its formulation you were already thought of and written about. The prophets of old saw glimpses of things to come in the latter days and they wrote of such. They foresaw the regathering of Israel and the Glory of The Lord. You must be thinking, But what does that have to do with me? We look at our lives in the ordinary and do not correlate them with the magnificent occurrences in the Scriptures. However, the Scripture does not record the ordinary occurrences of the people within it for if it had, there would be thousands upon thousands of volumes to the Bible. However, what it does record is the extra-ordinary events in the lives of ordinary people, things that didnt happen every day. This is your life as well. Just as David had to sleep out in the fields with his flocks in his teenage years, there was nothing extra-ordinary about the long days and cold nights he had day in and day out every week. But, when the unseen touched the surface, and his time had come, then the extra-ordinary began to happen. Day after day, you rise out of bed, do your routine and then retire for the day. There is nothing extra-ordinary about this. But then the time will come when you shall have to face your giants. Then, the extra-ordinary begins to happen. This day, The Lord is just as close to your reach as He was to those of the days of old. A very thin veil separates us from eternity. Within this, your life is very important to Him. You can be just as close to Him as those who were written of long ago. In an age when we are seeing the words of the prophets come to pass and knowing that we all have to tangle with the darkness within this world when our ordinary lives cross with the extra-ordinary, we are most definitely living in Biblical times!
