Some people say we’ve been sounding a little angry lately. You got that right. Christians should get a little angry when the poor needlessly die in pain because Republican Governors refuse to accept expanded Medicaid in their states (when they don’t have to pay a penny for it); Christians should get a little angry when women are slut-shamed and called murderers when they exert autonomy over their own reproductive choices; Christians should get a little angry when gay people are told they can’t be Christians and they’re destroying society and going to hell; Christians should get a little angry when the poor are labeled lazy freeloaders and told to just get a job. Anyone with a brain knows it’s not that simple. Christians should get a little angry when other Christians want to cripple all civic institutions and let corporations run the country; The list goes on and on. If you’re not angry you’re living in a bubble. There are righteous ways to channel your anger. Speaking out whenever you can is one way. “Christians” are going to come up with all kinds of reasons we need to vote Republican in 2014 and 2016. They’re brainwashed. Talk back to them. Tell them you’re just not buying it any more.
