Some people spend so much time looking at all they have done for - TopicsExpress

Some people spend so much time looking at all they have done for others, they fail to see what those others have done for them; ESPECIALLY if those others are not, or no longer, in agreement with them! It is easy to give thanks for all the people who boost our confidence, but what about those who lead us to look at our illusions and egos? Every interaction is a learning experience. Some people fail to accept their shadows; they deny them by draping the spiritual clothing of light and righteousness over parts of themselves, and thus finding fear, or concern over the path of others who express truths quite different from their own. Truths which they might at least consider and ponder, instead of immediately censuring and rejecting (from a place of ego, and superiority of belief). Even many people in the spiritual community who claim to be following their own path seem intent on upholding the same beliefs as others...they take comfort and confirmation in majority mindset, but are they truly feeling the messages they share, in the stillness and tranquility of their soul, or are they being swept along in a tide of trendy New Age thinking? I do not suppose I may express the same thoughts and feelings in a year from now...indeed I have changed so much already...but I am being real and expressing myself at each step of my journey... I have liked and shared so many truths of individuals, and so many versions of more universal truths merely because I was inspired by the conviction with which the poster shared it. But as I have grown and give thanks for every interaction which has brought me to where I am today, I am letting go of the words of others, especially those which I no longer resonate with... As you know your shadows, AND fully believe in your light. And as you bring the two into alignment and harmony, you return to being whole; being a balanced expression of humanity and divinity.
