Some people think this boy looks a little intimidating. We think thats why poor Thunder keeps getting passed by potential adopters. The truth be told, he may be bigger and look a little intimidating to some people, but hes really nothing but a big PUSSYCAT! (Sorry Thunder, we know you are trying to keep up with your image). :-) If there is one dog that you want to consider adopting, please let it be Thunder. We have posted him many times now, but still no luck. He is our longest dog at the shelter and he has been waiting patiently in a cage for his turn to be adopted since LAST APRIL! WE DO NOT WANT HIM TO HAVE HIS 1-YEAR ANNIVERSARY AT THE SHELTER! His owner passed away and thats how he ended up at the shelter. So many of the other dogs at the shelter are barking and jumping around in their cage, but most of the time when we walk pass Thunders cage he is just sitting in his cage and looks so sad. He will go as far up to the cage bars as he can in hopes that someone will pet him. The volunteers have been working with him every single day on his walking and have noticed a tremendous difference. He seems like he is a fast learner. He doesnt pull as much now and seems to listen well. We dont think he had a whole lot of interaction with people only because he wouldnt interact with any of us at first. Now this guy just wants to bond with everyone he meets. Overall he seems like hes good with other dogs and really just wants to play with them and play with everyone he meets. With continued training we think he could be a wonderful dog for someone.
