Some people who have never been to Billings, Montana may find this interesting other may not give a darn. :-) Billings is in the Yellowstone River Valley. the elevation is 3123 feet above sea level. To the north are the rim rocks , On top of the rim rocks is the Billings airport which is at 3652 feet. The rimrocks drop off sharply to the valley. There are several city roads located directly below the the Rims Lately huge blocks of sandstone have been dropping on the roadway or close to it so the city is doing work this past week to help remedy the problem.
