Some positive news out of the Lodge Fire; the evacuation orders have been scaled back in some areas. Evacuation orders, meaning the potential for life threatening conditions, remain in effect for for the areas south of Highway 101, west of Cummings Road to Leggett. These areas include The Hermitage, Big Bend and Camp St. Michael. The evacuation status of Camp Seabow, Bowman Ranch, Hunt Ranch Tan Oak Park, Elk Ridge and Mad Creek has been downgraded to an evacuation warning. A warning means there is a potential threat to life and property and affected individuals in these areas should be prepared to leave. Communication meetings are scheduled Tuesday at noon for the Leggett School and 2 p.m. for Harwood Hall in Laytonville.
