Some questions that Ive been asked re: the walk. 1. What time does it start? Registration starts at 9:00 am (in the Mesa Bldg), Opening ceremonies will begin at 9:30, walk steps off at 10. 2. Where is it at? UTPB - Registration/T-shirts will be in the foyer of the Mesa Bldg/Main Entrance, Opening Ceremonies, Resource Fair, Childrens Area will be in the Mesa Bldg Courtyard aka The Quad. 3. What do I wear? Anything you like. We will have official Walk Shirts available for $25. If you have raised at least $25 you will receive a shirt at no cost. 4. What about team shirts? That is up to you and your team. Many teams have team shirts made, and they are fantastic! We even have a t-shirt contest! But this is done at your own cost and is completely optional. 5. Where does the money raised go/Does it stay local? YES! 100% of the money raised stays local. SHARE is the recipient of all funds. Funds received by SHARE will assist us in continuing to provide programs at no cost to our families and future families! 6. How far is the walk? The main walk route is 1.5 miles. However, as always we will have a stroller/wheelchair route. This will be around the courtyard area. The walk is strictly ceremonial and if you or anyone on your team is unable to walk, there are plenty of other things to do! 7. How much does it cost to register? Registration is free. While this is a major fundraiser for SHARE, and all donations are greatly appreciated, we dont want anyone to not come because they cant afford it! 8. How do I fundraise? You can share your link to your personal page or team page on your facebook, by email, etc and ask friends and family for donations, or we have had many teams do things like hold raffles, garage sales, bake sales, car washes, etc. to raise money for their team. 9. Who do I make checks out to for donations? Make checks payable to SHARE. 10. Can I bring scooters, bikes, wagons, dogs, etc? Yes. Dogs must remain on a leash at all times. 11. Do I have to register online? No, you can register the day of the walk. However, in order to be eligible for the trophies for top fundraiser, largest walk team, and top fundraising team, you must be preregistered. The trophies will be given out prior to walking at opening ceremonies, and we will be going off of those pre-registered on the website. If you have any questions not covered please post them here!
