Some quick spoiler-free Winter Soldier thoughts: * ScarJos acting has really improved. And Black Widow was pretty awesome overall in this movie. Great character work by everyone involved. * Same deal with Sam Jackson and Nick Fury. * Listen for the name of a big Marvel character who hasnt had a movie yet. Its quick, so be ready for it. Alanna had to put her hand on my knee in that way she does when she wants me to calm down. * Robert Redford. Holy friggin cow. * MORE FALCON PLEASE. * The Russo Brothers, who are television sitcom directors, are better action directors than Christopher Nolan. A little heavy on the shaky-cam sometimes, but at least you always know where everything is. Great stuff. All the Winter Soldier scenes had me riveted. * I can always tell Alanna likes a movie when she says oh SHIT out loud, and she did that more than a few times. * Oh god theres one character whose initial appearance OH MY GOD I sorta jumped out of my seat with how they pulled it off. * Great movie overall. I have no clue where the Marvel movies or the TV show are going to go after this. Like I said, no spoilers, but DAMN. * If someone argued this was Marvels best movie yet I wouldnt put up much of a fight. Im pretty sure it was better than every stand-alone movie except the first Iron Man, and unlike The Avengers it didnt have a 20-minute action sequence where Cap and Tony have to fix an aircraft engine. * Though honestly I was sort of underwhelmed by the mid-credits sequence.
