Some quick tips about Wig Care that I do. And yes your wigs need care and washes after certain x amount of wear. Let your smell and feel be the judge. 1.) When you finish wearing a wig, dont put it away in a bag or box yet. Let it air dry in between wears before you place it in the bag. Longevity of when you need to wash it is much longer. 2.) When you wash the wig, make sure to use a shampoo correct for it. If not a wig shampoo make sure the shampoo you use dont contain sulfates/phosphates. I usually get the best results adding shampoo to a small tube of water. (Not directly on the wig.) 3.) When rinsing the wig or shampooing in a small tub, make sure you dont use hot water. Cool Water rinses it out fine for all types of wigs. When you wash it, you can use your hands to gently massage out spray/styling glue. Dont brush it. 4.) When laying to dry make sure you have a place where you can soak some water like a very clean towel cloth and then lay it on paper towel/cling wrap underneath if you dont want to wet your counter but you have to switch the paper towel time to time too. If you hang it that is good too. Just make sure you dont brush or do anything violent to it when its all wet. 5.) Make sure to only put wig friendly products in the wig at all times if you want your wig to last. And really, brushing, caring for the wig, and letting it breath is very important... Ive seen horror when a wig is just tossed without proper storage before. (And grow fungus/bacteria when you really dont watch where your wig goes.) Just friendly tips I do! Hope it helps!
