Some scary results on Lily at the vet on Monday, the pressure in her eye was up and so were the liver values (ALT). So, I scheduled an exam with the ophthalmologists today to see what is happening with her eye. They rechecked the pressure and it was actually in normal range. So, either the vets tonopen was not calibrated correctly or the tech was holding her too tightly around the neck. And, today was a very thorough exam and the ophthalmologist walked me through it so I got some good education. Turns out that the lens is actually detached at the bottom, but it is falling backwards. Which means that it isnt likely to be blocking the flow of fluid in the eye. Which means that she shouldnt be likely to get glaucoma and have pain with the eye. Plus, the lens is still well attached at the top, so it doesnt look likely to totally detach. Yay for the old lady. Now to address the liver values.
