Some similar opportunities here for Tasmania [ with our abundant Hydro electricity] surely ? There is a neat symmetry between the large-scale storage of electricity in hydro dams & the storage of digital information in the very large data centers required by Google, Amazon & all the cloud storage servers. Particularl value would be in holding non-time-sensitive, archival info, where Tasmanias geographically remote location would not be an issue, but in fact, our off grid position vis a vis Internet trunk traffic would give us advantages for strategic & security reasons.
