Some things about John Conway you may not know. He use to ride cutting horses. He sold his personal air plane, and used the money to start up Hilltop Baptist church. Unlike many church pastors he did not want to isolate Hilltop from the other churches, He wanted to have the differences put aside, and for all the churches to embrace what they had in common. He changed the name of Hilltop Baptist to Hilltop Family Church because he didnt want anyone to feel excluded. When I was in charge of the money taken in at Hilltop, We gave almost all of it away. John would say If we cant help people who are hurting and need help, what are we here for? That is the kind of man John Conway was!
