Some things never change....like the politics in the Martial Arts. Everyone is sure their style is the best and their teacher is the best...that is Great! But then they seem to feel obliged to comment on how every other style sucks and every other teacher sucks. Just look at your facebook page and you will see hundreds of martial artists making fun of other styles and systems. Why I know people who can tell if you suck by your photo....they certainly can tell if you suck by watching a 6 second video clip and not watching 60 years of teaching. When I came to Texas in 1977 the arts were controlled by only a few schools and systems...and everyone seemed to get along...as long as you did what the big boys said. This had good and bad points to it...it made everyone follow strict quality control...and produced some of the greatest fighters in US and the World...but it didnt allow for lots of cross training and opening new schools. In Louisiana no one controlled anything and no one ever did anything great. Same thing in most other southern States...now remember...back in the 60s there were only a few karate schools and it stayed that way in the 70s. Now there is a karate school within 5 miles of everyone living in America....and 90% of them have a World... US...or State Champion. All 36,000 schools.....must be that dual universe thing to allow for 36,000 US Champions. Anyway back to the point of this rant...never mind...only 3 people are reading it anyway. Keep hating...but keep training to get better...one day you will be old...and hated.
