Some things should be consistent across the state but other incidentals dont require consistency. How one gets the ballot to the SOE is incidental to the validity of the ballot. All the directive does is make it more difficult for people to get their ballots to the SOE. The directive will not eliminate fraud in absentee ballots because the method of delivery of the ballot to the SOE is not a source of fraud. Fraud occurs when the ballot is signed by a person other than the registered voter whose name is on the ballot. A crucial point here is that the SOEs did not identify that having other drop off points was a problem needing fixing. Are you aware that a former chair of the Fla Republican Party started under oath that changes to the election statute were for the purpose of making it more difficult for minorities to vote?~db
