Some thoughts on Alexithymia in circumcised males and its utilitarian application for religion: If circumcision is used to polarize the gender binary + alexithymia is produced (GM) which causes males difficulty verbalizing feelings which disrupts communication, could that have been the civilizations excuse to tuck mens unexpressed problems under the rug while benefiting from their production? Could this have been a significant contributor of the dismissive man up attitude and male disposeability? My conviction is that religion uses males/females as cogs and gears to make a self-propagating machine which brings suspicion to the existence of such strict gender binaries and physiological determinism. Religion is something that employs such dogma that aids in reinforcing its own existence. It appears that if males are going to be the primary producers (as in the past,) they were expected to put their needs second (which might have given rise to the man up attitude) which was especially beneficial to that civilization and indirectly the religion that inspired such responsibility. Such catalytic progress is observable since the domination of monotheistic religions, most of which promoted GM. Such religions may use the condition of alexthymia as a tool. Such conditions may have impact on ones work ethic, in the US work force, values surround sacrificing for the company. In the US, circumcision is rampant, especially after the late 40s, a time where industry was rapidly growing into what it is today. Also work conditions have changed, American simply work more than their other western counterparts, obsessively I may add. I might believe that such psychological conditions, while minor, do impact the initial public environment subliminally I believe.
