Some time ago, I had a very interesting conversation with two people I have a GREAT deal of respect for and who happen to be husband and wife. We were having a drink before dinner and the subject of what makes each of us (the three of us) well respected in our fields, Recording, Piano Tech and Pipe Organ Restoration. When I asked each of them the answer was...All three of us do the right thing. Many others are taught what to do and how to do it but prefer to cut corners in their various fields...we do not. This has been somewhat of a thorn in my side as we always try to do the right thing. I have always been driven to do the best quality work one can do and still try to make a living. Im not sure where this is going to end up; it is looking a bit bleak work-wise the last few months...hope that changes, and FAST!
