Some time ago I posted about the ongoing problem of transients living in the STOR QUEST storage facility next to Sweet Cherries Diner on Foothills Blvd. Soon after that the business was sold and the facility is now called EZ STOR. When my BF and I continued to see people living downstairs, jimmying the entrance/exit locks AND hopping the metal gates, we made a police report and notified the companys management and main business offices. Although the management said they had to catch people in the act, they also promised to install security cameras. Unfortunately, no cameras were installed for a couple of months. But when my boyfriend yet again caught several dangerous, filthy transients living in the storage units and violating storage policies, he persisted in his complaints to both the office staff as well as to the main office. FINALLY, at long last, I am happy to report that not only does EZ STOR now have a new lock system AND several newly-installed security cameras, but 4 homeless transients have been permenantly ousted from the facility--- bums who were living there and using a storage unit as a base where they could hang out and change clothes, etc. These criminal creeps were very scary as well as a real danger to legitimate customers. It looks like the problem has been solved--- at least for now.
