Some time back when Mwendes story appeared, I argued that these pastors/apostles bla bla bla get away with these con jobs because our society actually lives this life. We are such a corrupt thieving society, what these guys do is nothing compared to what a lot of us would do in a heartbeat, or rather what a lot of us do on a day to day basis. Well, Kanyaris followers are not the first to bribe their way to better health and even heaven. Kshs. 310/= is Kanyaris magic amount. Others have even larger demands. Some of us buy our pastors cars, houses, holidays, and pay for other more luxurious lifestyles. Kanyari, if he is to be believed, only wants to buy a 7M bob lorry for his crusade (it is actually a pretty truck if what we saw yesterday is the truck) and finally pay off his loans (He still has 400k to go). Isnt he more reasonable than others who buy lavish homes in Runda and such like places. Didnt we have another dude who was charging 2,500/= to add someones name to Gods Book of Life. A man has got to provide for his wife and daughter...this is Nairobi guys, life here is tough, and Kanyari is simply doing What A Mans Gotta Do. So, let us all leave him be...or even better, if one is a good actor and can get his personal number, why not apply for a job in his church. He pays pretty well if the records we saw yesterday are anything to go by. Finally, especially for the men, lets not complain too much...last time i checked, female nipple peeks are pretty rare in Nairobi, so imagine getting a regular dose of them...in church. Anyway, Kanyari has been exposing women for some time and his congregation must be used to it.
