Some woman behind the desk at the Polish bureaucracy office tried to tell I had to hand over my original long form birth certificate to complete the application I was applying for and I would not be getting it back. Obviously, I refused, stating the disclaimer ON THE CERTIFICATE that the birth certificate is not my property and I must be able to return it to the Canadian government, if requested. I told her that all the paperwork shed processed so far was a waste of time because Im now withdrawing my application. All of a sudden, I didnt need to hand over my birth certificate and the application was submitted. Hmmm? Yeeeah... rull afishull.
