Somebody said as Christians we no longer have to repent or hear - TopicsExpress

Somebody said as Christians we no longer have to repent or hear the message of repentance. This is a lie from the devil. 1 John 1:8-10 is an epistle, and epistles are written for the church. Yes, we as already Christians, we are no longer supposed to lay again the basic foundation of repentance from dead works as Hebrews 6:1 says in matters of established doctrine. But in practice, repentance is more than a doctrine; it is actually a lifestyle. I even heard so many apostolic believers preaching Acts 2:38 yet begins too much for the mode and formula for water baptism while ignoring the very fact that REPENTANCE is as important as water and Spirit baptism themselves. We are so fanatically excited dipping or baptizing people in the waters without genuine repentance. The result? Buried but not dead in sin and not dead in worldly things. Did you get that? How can you bury a person who is still alive? Repentance is death from sin and water baptism is burial (Romans 6:1-4). If we keep on baptizing people so we can get the number of newly-baptized without seeing or leading them in true repentance, we will not produce genuine Christians, but only a bunch of fake, hypocrite people inside our churches. The final product is lukewarm believers not ready for Christs soon return. This is also the case why many Christians turn away from faith. Why? They were baptized in the right way and waited for their personal Pentecostal experience of Spirit reception as promised but never receiving it. Why? Because there is no genuine repentance. Actually, the people that needed true repentance most are those who are already in the church, because many misunderstood that since they are living in Gods grace, they are no more obliged to keep His moral commandments and ordinances of the Gospel. No! True Gods grace actually teaches us how to live right and holy and blameless in this sinful world, not to give us license to continue doing wrong and then became worldly Christians (Titus 2:11-12). Dont be afraid being accused of legalism or fanaticism. We are not men-pleasers. We only please God and delights in His Word. Repent today and make it a lifestyle. Repent of worldliness and desire more of Gods Spirit. We are commanded to set our minds and our affections ON THINGS ABOVE, not on things on earth. Let us invest for eternity, than spending all our efforts for worldly things and end up in hell. If you desire heaven, follow the red-letter words of Jesus in the Bible, where He stressed that WE MUST WALK IN THE NARROW WAY OF HOLINESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND TRUTH. Obey Acts 2:38! Repent! If you are a worldly, secularized Christian, I urge you to repent for your own self and pray in travail for the sinners of the world! In the last days, many of the unrighteous and filthy will be more sinners still. But those Christians living righteous and holy lives will be more separated unto God than before, as the glorious rapture is about to take place (Revelation 22:11-12). JESUS WEEPS OVER THE WORLD. HE WEEPS OVER THE UNGODLY AND THE SINNERS, BUT HE ALSO WEEP MUCH MORE FOR THE CARELESS CHRISTIANS WHO LIVE DOUBLE LIVES AND THOSE WHO LIVE UNHOLY AND WORLDLY EVENTHOUGH THEEY PROFESS TO BE CHRISTIANS. To all Christians, stop mingling with the affairs, lifestyles, and fashions of this ungodly world! The word of God cries out loud: BE YE SEPARATE! TOUCH NOT THE UNCLEAN THING! ABSTAIN AND FLEE FROM ALL APPEARANCES OF EVIL. LOVE NOT THE WORLD. BE NOT CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD. DO NOT BEFRIEND WORLDLY THINGS. (Rom. 12:2; 1Cor.3:16; 2Cor.6:14-18; 1Thes.5:22; James 4:4; 1John 2:15-16).
