Somebody sometimes somehow somewhat. ....found it necessary and right to give us a true identity of our own. He was called so many names....described in diverse languages. But to us in Ekiti....he gave us a gift. ..from which our honour and pride blossom. ..the creation of Ekiti State. Today EKITI is 18.....wr couldnt have been celebrating if he had not taken the giant stride. Thank you Late Gen. Sani Abacha Politicians in Ekiti should as a matter of fact remember how it was then......the labour ...the expectations. ...the agitations....the uncertainty......doubts....fear....and thoughts we passed through before we could be here.... Let them stop serving us all round with ;anarchy. .poverty...rioting....lies..discord at the expense of peace,progress,dividends of good governance. Must we all get a share of bitterness due to their selfishness??? Must the blood of the masses be split for any self gain??? Must we be prisoners in our own land??? Must we work and be denied of our wages?? Must we be punished as a result of political party seperate??? Must we treat ourselves as enemies bcos of political parties differences??? Are we truly homogenous??? Are we truly partners in progress?? Are we EKITI in values/moral Do we need to exist together as a friend or perish together as a fool??? Whom among the fighters for the creation of our dear state got compensation for it as Governor Senator....??? We should progress as a Team and not depleted by political party colourations. Happy 18th Anniversary Ekitikete
