Somebody was really mean to me tonight. Like, seriously being cruel and insulting and not listening to me...and then I realized, yeah, theyre not listening to me. It was all the more fascinating because it was typed...it was possible for me to read what Id written and be SURE with no vagaries of memory that I had said what Id thought Id said...and what they were responding to wasnt that. There were two things that came to mind...one was the old line about how its not about you and how thats supposed to make it all better...and how that really doesnt. But. I have a really hard time with letting things go and cutting ties. I really do. I always hold out hope that communication can really happen and harmony restored. So my system crashed (which it does ALL THE TIME. Shockwave is my enemy) and this guy took it as me not answering and hanging up on him. There was a total assumption of my evil intent...which didnt exist at all. I got back on and there I was all unfriended and whatnot. And I find, to my amazement, that Im actually pretty cool with it. That guy was a dick. Anyway...its totally possible to hurt my feelings. I would prefer that you not. Thanks.
