Somehow I feel that I am writing a post tonight for someone who thinks that God cant use them because of the failures they have made in life. But let me assure you that God carries out His work through fallible, failure prone people like you and me. Anyone who has ever read the life story of Jamie Buckingham knows that God can use the greatest failures for His glory. Let me quote Jamie: Perfection still eludes me. I am still vulnerable. But most important, I am no longer satisfied with my imperfection. Nor, thank God, am I intimidated by it. I have reached the point of recognizing that God uses imperfect, immoral, dishonest people. In fact, thats all there are these days. All of the holy men seem to have gone off and died. Theres no one left but us sinners to carry on the ministry. Buckingham is right. God uses weak, frail, and bruised reeds to fulfill his redemptive purposes. So, before you give up, think about Peter, Jonah, David, and Abraham. All failed in one way or another. But God picked them up and used them. Friend, God will use you if you want to be used by Him.
