Someone asked me: Are you Agnostic? I answered: I am a Rationalist Theist and this is how: An Agnostic believes that we cannot prove Gods existence. On the contrary, I believe in God, and I also believe that his existence can be proven - scientifically or through revelation, or through his acts (which most theists do not believe - they simply go in there and if their books say dance naked for 5 minutes, they take it so and keep doing silly things in the name of God. I also believe in deodontological ethics, after I discussed with someone who convinced me that truth is not relative - the ultimate truth exists somewhere - just because we have not found it does not mean it does not exist - we just have to find it - and there are two ways to doing so: Revelation OR Science. The revelation path has however been abused by MANY so called Prophets who purport to have been sent by God. Because of this, I do not believe blindly - because God gave me a brain to use it to find Him. I also question the so-called revelations that different religions seem to purport, the apparent lack of unity of their descriptions of God, and the fact that some of their writings seem to misrepresent Gods plan. I am therefore a Rationalist Theist - one who is interested in evidence to collaborate my beliefs so that I do not believe in things that do not make sense. I believe that if our fore-fathers made errors in describing Gods revelations, we can correct them to strengthen the message for belief - because if we do not correct them, then our beliefs will cease to have meaning. I believe that in the future, scientists will find God - it is just that at the moment, their brains and methods are too constrained in thinking about the physical realm that they cannot design appropriate experiments to see him. I also believe too that some of our pastors, sheiks etc are misleading us by sticking to irrational silly sections of the holy books instead of emphasizing the ones that show Gods true revelations. I believe that we are made of body (the physical dimension) and soul (the spiritual dimension) because Quantum Theory seems to be proving more and more that gravitational bodies exist in different phases at the same time depending on their realm, that there is more to life than the physical realm, and that consciousness is the bridge to both realms. I believe for instance that if you pray very deeply you can change a misfortune because I did an experiment where I did pray for something very specific and it happened in the exact way I wanted it after 5 years - but it required very deep prayer not superficial prayer - the kind that allows a quantum leap into the spiritual world
