Someone asked me today what I wanted most for my birthday tomorrow. I want to: greet the sun with a big smiley face, smell the red, pink, and yellow roses in our courtyard, paint the wild green hills that outline our valley, race snails up our stone footpath, soak my feet in the river..no...dance in the river, have a savory lunch on the edge of the castle, greet friends on my walk to the train station, listen to the mountain birds build their nests, whistle to butterflies passing me by, sketch the man on the moon always hopeful, always dreaming, I want to wake up late and live the day in slow-motion, and last, I want to celebrate a life of thankfulness.
