Someone close to me actually mentioned they though Michael Moore - TopicsExpress

Someone close to me actually mentioned they though Michael Moore had a point about snipers generally. I thought its worth stating how I see things because I disagree 100% with Michael Moore and Bill Maher on what theyve said. (I dont think Seth Rogen really said anything relevant). First, if one has a complaint against the war generally take it up with the politicians, not the guys on the ground tasked with executing the war in the name of US citizens. Chris Kyle went back to Iraq more than he even needed to - 4 tours. He saved other soldiers lives by what he did. And importantly, hes not here to defend himself against Moores and Mahers verbal assaults. Bashing a dead volunteer soldier who put his life on the line continually is just the worst thing to do. Secondly, if Moores complaint is with the role of a sniper generally... Well snipers are no more dishonorable or honorable than the guy driving the drone, dropping the bomb, shooting the M16, delivering supplies, dropping the mortars or crewing the helicopters. Unless we as voting citizens protested the war and renounced our citizenship over this, we should ALL feel like we have blood on our hands. These soldiers were just at the front of the line executing the strategy for us Americans. Moore seems to imply that its more honorable to kill someone by first making sure you can both see eachother and each have equal weaponry. But thats not the way war works. We deploy all force possible and necessary to win the war in accordance with the Geneva Convention. Moore is way out of line to have made the statements he made. Third, Mahers comments that Chris Kyle was some sort of psychopath based on what he said about killing the enemy... Its shallow for Maher to interpret Chris Kyles words when he doesnt know what Chris Kyle saw, or what it took to do what he did, nor be able to live with what he did afterwards. So thats how I feel.....theres zero credit or excuses for the points that Michael Moore and Bill Maher are trying to make. They are completely wrong and are insulting thousands of veterans who shouldered the burden and did the dirty work for America.
