I say no, we are just acting out our imperialism in the luxury of any imperial power: ignorance of the sovereignty and culture of other people. History is written by the ones in power, the ones who dominate. The American people DO believe that they are helping others by what they think is a valuable way to find a solution to a perceived problem: Violence and killing...We portray it pervasively in movies, on the streets, in domestic mass killings, and with our military in other countries.
